Boghean Band: ABOUT BOGHEAN BAND

Boghean Band is a new project launched by enthusiastic virtuosi from Republic of Moldova.
Boghen Band’s music contains original improvisations and is difficult to define it as a specific genre, being a fusion of Balkan Jazz, East-European Ethno, Folk, Oriental Music, Gypsy, Classical Elements, all combined in a modern manner. This musical bouquet rise the most varied feelings, creating an atmosphere where everyone can find itself.

All members are proficient musicians with huge experience from many national and international projects.

Valentin Boghean, or simply Valy, the frontman of the Band, is one of the most talented musicians and singers in Republic of Moldova. Besides his special Vocals, Valy is also known as the Master of Aerophone Instruments, including Trumpet, Saxophone, Flutes, Tilinca, Kaval, Taragot, Duduk, Bagpipes, Clarinet; Classical & Bass Guitars. A veritable Man Orchestra and unique musician.

Valeriu Cascaval - Cimbalom(cymbalum)

The artist wich plays the “Moonlight Sonata” with two sticks, Valeriu Cascaval is a Moldavian born cimbalom player with excellent technical facility. Valeriu graduated Composition and Theory in Hamburg, Germany. He joined the “Lautarii” folk music orchestra and had numerous tours, most notably with the world-famous panpipe player, Gheorghe Zamfir.
